That's S$690 million! That's so much more than any Hollywood movie has ever made!
For those who do not know, GTA is all about shooting people. Perfect for those days when you really can't stand you boss and you just want to "kill" him/her. Everyone has one of those days, it may not be your boss. It could be your friend, teacher, even pet, anything. Anything that just happens to get on your nerves!
I remember the last time I got that irritated, I walked around slamming whatever things I could slam. I slammed my bedroom door, my closet door, bathroom door. Basically I tried to vent by making as much noise as I could without actually screaming my lungs out. Now that I've confessed to it and I'm reading what I've just typed out, it sounds really stupid.
Now I turn to a new way of reliefing frustration. I read in an issue of Seventeen magazine that taking deep breathes helps. You inhale deeply and count to four, then you exhale slowly. Slowly reliefing all that anger. But I've come up with my own way too. I simply turn on the radio. Whatever song that's playing i just try and listen, and sing to it. Before you realize it you calm down. That always works for me. What works for you? Comment-on!

Hmmm... I think going for a run helps me to unwind if i'm feeling frustrated.
However, on the subject of GTA i think that computer or console games are a good healthy outlet sometimes. There's nothing like a good old shoot out or brawl with your buddies in the virtual world.:) At the very least, things won't get messy on the outside.
I've played GTA before. It's not that bad a game... Until you get addicted to it. There was a point of time I got so addicted until I forgot to eat and I had sleep deprivation. It was quite bad when it went to the extent of me forgetting how my friends even looked like. All I could see were people looking like animations.
i used to do the 'i'm-gonna-shoot-anyone-i-hate' in the virtual gaming world, then i realised, the characters do not help much in releasing my frustrations or anger.
So i experimented, i program a new game, insert faces of people i dislike or who made me pissed as the enemies.
so yea, you get me. i shoot whoever i want. loads of blood n gore, but no one gets hurt. =D
hi there i so happened to read your blog..well i guess brutality is the in thing in gaming right now, and about the taking deep breath when you are piss..it do help.really. With this i hope no more slamming of doors or closet cause i think for your case it's brand new.
It seems like promoting violence to the society. Imagine virtual turns reality, well we will never know. I think that you have a good way to vent your frustrations. Try going to a beach or pier and just scream and shout your hearts out. You'll feel different :)
Anyway, the gaming industry has always been extremely lucrative, look at World of Warcraft, its amazing just by looking at the number of copies they've sold. Impressive..
